Leicestershire dominates the Uber Eats shortlist for best takeaways in the region

Takeaways in Leicestershire feature prominently in the Uber Eats shortlist of the best food across the whole of the East Midlands and Anglia regions. Three Leicester takeaways and one in Loughborough are listed among the 10 shortlisted restaurants.

The list also includes three Nottingham eateries, one in Derby, one in Mansfield and one in Norwich. The public now have until Friday, October 4, to vote for their favourites.

In total there are 130 restaurants in the shortlist from 12 regions across the UK and Ireland.

This is the shortlist for the East Midlands and Anglia area:

• Chinese Snack Box, High Street, Leicester

• Spicy Wok Express, Charles Street, Leicester

• Hotville, Grandby Street and Uppingham Road, Leicester, and The Parade, Oadby

• Gohan Bento & Sushi, High Street, Loughborough

• Chick and Shakes, Nottingham

• Tipu Sultan, Nottingham

• Four Seasons Hot Pot, Nottingham

• Monmo's, Derby

• Crunch, Mansfield

• Brick Pizza, Norwich

To vote for your favourite, search for Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year online. The overall winner will receive £100,000 and there will also be cash prizes for runners-up, as well as a "marketing support package" from Uber Eats.

Judging will take place after the public vote is complete, with an overall winner and prizes for the best in different classes of restaurant.
