The Leicestershire pubs hosting week-long Burns Night celebration
Eight Leicestershire pubs are set to celebrate Burns Night with a week-long festival of Scottish food and drink. Punters are urged to get involve and get tasting traditional dishes like haggis.
The promotion, which comes from Wetherspoon, includes traditional Scottish likes, neeps and tatties using award-winning haggis from Grants of Speyside. Prices start from £7.49 with a soft drink, or £9.02 with an alcoholic drink, while a smaller portion is available from £5.49.
A special Caledonian Burger has also been added to the menu, featuring two beef patties topped with haggis and whisky sauce, served with chips and onion rings. This meal deal starts from £9.40 with a soft drink or £10.93 with an alcoholic beverage.

To mark the celebration of Scotland's national poet, the pubs will also serve special Scottish drinks including Inveralmond Ossian, a golden beer from Perthshire, alongside a selection of Scottish gins and whiskies.
Manager of The High Cross, in High Street, Leicester, Rob Pole, said: "The seven-day celebration is a great opportunity for our customers to enjoy some traditional Scottish food and drink and to celebrate for longer than just the 25th of January."
