Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock has welcomed twins into the world as she became a mother for the first time.

Writing on social media on Monday, the 29-year-old singer shared the news she and footballer fiancé Andre Gray had welcomed their newborns with a picture of their tiny feet.

Alongside the snap, she wrote: “We asked for a miracle, we were given two... Our Cubbies are here 16/08/21”

She didn’t reveal the sex or the names of either of the twins.

Prior to the post, Ms Pinnock - originally from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire - had not confirmed she was expecting two babies.

It comes after her bandmate Perrie Edwards gave birth to her baby with footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Ms Edwards announced the news on Instagram on Sunday. She wrote: “Welcome to the world baby 21/08/21.”

The singing super star also didn’t reveal the name of her baby but she shared a black and white picture of their little hand resting on the side of their face as well as one of their little foot.

Ms Pinnock announced her pregnancy news on Instagram back in May, just under a week before Ms Edwards also revealed she was expecting her first child.

Ms Pinnock wrote: “We’ve dreamed about this moment for so long and we can’t believe the dream is finally coming true... we can’t wait to meet you.”

Ms Edwards wrote on Instagram at the time: “So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate. Me + Him = You. We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox!”

A second photo showed Oxlade-Chamberlain, who she has been in a relationship with since early 2017, cradling her from behind.

He wrote on his own page: “Anyone got any advice on how to change nappies? so grateful and excited to become a dad. bring on the sleepless nights.”

Little Mix formed on The X Factor in 2011 and have become one of the country’s biggest-selling girl bands.

They left Simon Cowell’s Syco Music for the RCA label in November 2018.

Jesy Nelson left the group in December and she said the high-profile role had “taken a toll” on her mental health.

Last week, Ms Nelson said she is not looking for a boyfriend as she prepares to launch her solo career.

Nelson signed a solo record deal with Polydor Records and her debut single will arrive in the autumn.

Speaking to The Guardian, the 30-year-old said she is unlikely to find another relationship anytime soon.

She told the newspaper: “Part of me feels I should be single for ever because in relationships you have to sacrifice so much.

“I like waking up and knowing this day is just for me and I don’t need to worry about anyone but me. I’m really not looking for a relationship any more.”
