Lena Headey is very bloody serious about keeping any Game of Thrones spoilers a secret, thank you very much – and when we say 'bloody', we mean that literally, by the way.

Ahead of GoT's eighth and final season, which is landing in just two short months' time, fans are busy trying to decipher even the smallest of clues, but fortunately nothing major has been given away by any of the cast or crew.

Or at least, not to fans anyway.

After drunkenly letting a Thrones spoiler slip to a friend on a night out, Lena Headey revealed that she channelled her inner-Cersei Lannister to keep the news quiet.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Lena hopefully joked: "The next day [I] hunted them down and made them sign in blood not to say anything."

Admitting she finds the whole secret-keeping business a little tiring, the actress added: "It's part of the success, you know, being consumed with it and what's happening.

"[But] I think it's just frustrating when you do interviews for Game of Thrones and actually can't say anything."

In equally frustrating news, Lena recently confessed that shooting her last scene in the series was a "weirdly tedious" experience for her.

"My last day on set was really weirdly tedious because I just had to shoot going up and down these stairs and that was it," she said recently.

When asked to elaborate, she kept things typically coy. "I can't tell you anything," she said. "They'd kill me!"

Game of Thrones season 8 will premiere in April 2019. The show airs on HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK. Season 7 is now available to buy on DVD, Blu-ray or digital download.
