The devastated family of murdered schoolboy Leo Ross has paid tribute to their "amazing, kind, loving boy". Police say the 12-year-old was killed as he walked along Scribers Lane in Hall Green on Tuesday afternoon, plunging the city into sadness.

Leo's family has spoken out for the first time about their loss and how their lives have been taken, too. In a statement, they said today: "We want everyone to know what an amazing, kind, loving boy Leo was.

"Not only has Leo’s life been taken, all of our lives have as well. Leo will be truly missed by all of us. He was loved so much by everyone.
