"I suppose that's good, that it's not been an outright no, and I think all of us would go back – I mean, who doesn't want to go back, and ride horses, and play with swords?

"I think that would be a lot of fun, and there's a lot to explore in that world as well."

The 23-year-old went on to share her fondness for her character too, adding: "Iona, I do love as a character. I want to see what happens next with her and Jaro, and whether she finds her way back to the gang.

"But yeah, who knows?"

Reviewing last year's first season, which consists of six episodes, DS wrote: "Without the goodwill this franchise has built up over time in the Netherlands, international audiences may struggle to stick with this occasionally enjoyable but ultimately generic adaptation."

The Letter for the King and The Irregulars are both streaming on Netflix.
