Lewis Hamilton Reveals Truth Behind Nicole Scherzinger Split

Lewis Hamilton has revealed the truth behind his split from Nicole Scherzinger, who he dated on and off for seven years.

Following their final split in February 2015, reports circulated about the reason behind the couple’s break up, with some citing long distance and busy schedules as the perpetrator, and others claiming commitment issues.

But now the Formula One driver has finally revealed the truth – and it’s a wheel surprise.

Lewis, 31, has admitted that he often prioritised his passion for cars over his relationship with Nicole, 38.

“My cars are my babies,” he explained to Top Gear magazine. “I used to say, when I had a girlfriend, ‘I’m taking one of the girls out, so you can come if you want, but you come second when it comes to the cars.’”

In the wake of their break up, the Pussycat Doll hinted that their romance came to an end because Lewis had become too complacent.

“Sometimes people stay in relationships because they get complacent, because it’s comfortable for them, because they don’t want to be alone,” she told People. “I’m going through a very transformative time in my life.”

Meanwhile Lewis described his motorsport victories as “a bandage” over his broken heart and continued dictating his love letter to cars, adding: “It’s the look, the sound, and I’m always looking for horsepower!”

He continued: “When you eventually save and buy ‘that car’, or do whatever it is to get ‘that car’ you’ve had your eyes on, it’s the greatest feeling.”
