LG Unveils Full-Size Roll-Up Keyboard For Your Tablet Or Smartphone

LG has unveiled the world’s first ‘solid rollable wireless portable keyboard’, which is designed to work with mobile devices and rolls up neatly to fit into a bag.

The Rolly Keyboard folds up into a square-ended portable stick despite the fact that it’s almost the same size as conventional desktop keyboard.

Made from impact-resistance plastic, the device can be connected to a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth, making it easier to type out longer messages and documents.

The keys are 17mm high, compared to the usual 18mm found on most desktop keyboards, which should make it more comfortable to type on than most wireless keyboards.

Two built-in arms fold out to support smartphones or tablets in an upright position while the user is typing.

Unrolling the keyboard will automatically connect it to the user’s mobile device.

Powered by a single AAA battery the keyboard should provide up to three months of power before the battery needs replacing.

The keyboard will make its debut in the U.S in September will gradually be introduced elsewhere though no UK launch or prices have been confirmed. The keyboard will go on display for the first time at next week’s IFA tech show in Berlin.
