Liam Gallagher has furiously hit back at fans who mocked his mini-set at Wembley stadium ahead of last night's boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois - with some even taunting that they were prepared to hand back their tickets. The Oasis frontman, 52, gave fans a taste of what's to come for next year's sold-out reunion tour - tipped to be the biggest music event of 2025 - as he sang 'Rock n' Roll Star', 'Supersonic', and 'Cigarettes and Alcohol' ahead of the box office fight on Saturday night (September 21). But for many, Liam's vocals went down like a lead balloon.

"People gonna want Oasis refunds after this Liam Gallagher disasterclass," wrote one user on X, adding: "Me nan would do a better job." Another user posted: "Anyone want £415 Oasis tickets... having just witnessed two minutes of Liam Gallagher before the boxing, I think I'm better on karaoke."

But this afternoon (Sunday, September 22), Liam sent out a defiant message to the naysayers on X. He wrote: "To all those S*** C**** who were crying about my ANGELIC TONES last night you ain’t real fans, you're just IMPOSTERS and if you do have tickets you wanna get rid off I’ll gladly take them off your hands. We don’t want the likes of you at our concerts next year any way LF**ING."

The singer received some back-up from fans. One user posted; "I thought you were brilliant last night Liam pal. Not many get the chance to be announced in by the best on the mic Michael Buffer." Another wrote: "Proper fans know those tones hit like a wrecking ball, mate! Give us more of that angelic chaos, no room for the fakes next year. I'll be there loud and clear, front row, no imposters allowed."

A third user added: "It’s a shame all the people complaining about how they’re gonna refund their tickets weren’t real fans in the first place and took tickets from people who truly wanted to go."

Still, some users saw Liam's outburst as an excuse to continue to pile in the insults. "Rattled,' wrote one, while a second posted: "You tell them, you f*** Poundland Beatle." Another user quipped about the controversy over Oasis' ticket prices, writing: "300% more effort please Liam, just like the tickets."

Last night's boxing match at Wembley saw Anthony Joshua decisively beaten within five rounds by IBF world heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois. During the match, Joshua hit the floor four times as Dubois' laid into him, ending up with a count out after another offensive from Dubois.

Ticket prices for Oasis' highly anticipated reunion tour have soared on sites such as Ticketmaster from £148 to a whopping £355, sending fans into an uproar, prompting even government and competition watchdogs to consider an investigation of the use of dynamic pricing, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Meanwhile, numerous fans voiced their frustration and disappointment after spending hours in online queues only to miss out on securing tickets. In a statement released earlier this month, the band stated that the new method of private ballot ticket sales would ease the stress and time spent by fans trying to secure tickets. In response to these incidents, consumer advocates Which? called on Ticketmaster to compensate fans who were affected by the steep ticket prices.
