Liam Gallagher has claimed that his brother Noel once turned down £100 million to get Oasis back together for a string of shows.

The Wonderwall singers split in 2009 and have been feuding for years, and Liam recently said he was "sick of pleading, begging" for the group to reform.

He has now revealed that the pair were offered £100 million to reunite and tour - but Noel said no.

Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, he said: “I know for a fact there’s nothing left on the table. We did have a good crack. We did everything. We didn’t leave anything on the table. Like, nothing.

“When someone offers you 100 million pounds to do a few gigs and that man, you’re going to go, ‘Alright then yeah...’ There was a lot of money knocking about.

“It was 100 million pounds to do a tour and that and I’m thinking, ‘I’m not a d******d, know what I mean? I’ll have a bit of that.’

“He’s not into it is he? He’s after a knighthood isn’t he?”

Liam said he thinks the siblings are “both the problem” but that his brother doesn’t see it that way.

“He needs to take on some of the problem. The minute he does that we’ll move on,” he said.

The singer also joked that the perfect forum for their reunion could be a go on Celebrity Bake Off.

“Maybe we’ll just bake some bread and that or a cake or throw strawberries at each other. Have a cream fight,” he said.

Liam Gallagher put on a typical Liam Gallagher display at the 2010 Brits when he threw Oasis' award for Best Album of 30 Years for (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? into the audience along with the microphone after a sweaty acceptance speech. He was then launched into a feud with host Peter Kay who called him a "k**bhead", as he retaliated by calling him a "fat f***". Oasis formed in Manchester in 1991 and had huge hits such as Wonderwall and Don’t Look Back In Anger.

Their split was acrimonious and Liam and Noel have been locked in a war of words since then.

Both brothers have gone on to have successful solo careers since going their separate ways. Liam as the lead singer of Beady Eye and Noel with the band High Flying Birds.
