Liam Gallagher has threatened to start a war with Damon Albarn and his brother Noel after they collaborated on the new Gorrilaz album.

Liam called Albarn – who used to front Britpop band Blur – a “gob*****” and accused him of turning Noel into a “massive girl” after he invited him to sing on one of his band’s new tracks.

In response to the release of Humanz, he tweeted: “Now that d*** out of blur and the creepy one out of Oasis need to hang their heads in shame as it's no dancing in the streets as you were LG x (sic).”

He continued: “That gob*****out of Blur might have turned Noel Gallagher into a massive girl but believe you me next time I see him there's gonna be war (sic).”

Albarn and Noel recently opened up about working together – and said neither party spoke to Liam about the collaboration.

“Of course, no one's asked Liam what he thinks about the song yet,” Albarn told Radio X. “No doubt he'd have a fantastic one-liner about what a bunch of f****** k*** heads we are.”

Noel said: “Listen, nobody gives a f*** what Liam thinks about anything.”

Liam and Noel have had a volatile relationship since Oasis split in 2009, with Liam frequently hitting out, often with vegetable based insults, at the High Flying Birds frontman on Twitter.
