Liam Gallagher might have recently told us that Oasis are "done", but there's still a part of us holding out for that long-rumoured, elusive reunion.

And according to Liam, we'd be right to hold on, actually.

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Liam admitted that it's 'sad' he and Noel don't talk anymore. Tell us something we don't know, mate.

"The most important thing that people keep missing is that me and our kid don't speak and that's the saddest thing about it," he explained. "Two wrongs don't make no right."

Revealing what would need to happen for the stars to align and for Oasis to make a comeback, Liam said: "Me and him need to start becoming brothers and friends again,

"And inevitably we'll start making music."

We're liking the sound of that "inevitably", Liam.

Proving once again that he's just like us (didn't you know he was a Love Island fan?), the singer and Britpop icon also admitted to finding his feud with brother Noel "funny".

"He prods me and I prod him. I'm letting him know that I'm still here," he said. "I find it funny taking the piss out of my older brother who thinks his shit don't stink. I find it funny."

Don't look back in anger, boys.
