Liam Gallagher's cheeky eight-word boast about Anthony Joshua fight performance
Liam Gallagher has a confident eight-word response to fans after being asked about his cameo before Anthony Joshua's bought with Daniel Dubois. The Oasis frontman took to X to share his thoughts ahead of the brief performance, in front of 96,000 fans inside London's Wembley Stadium.
The singer had revealed he would be belting out three Oasis favourites - Cigarettes and Alcohol, Supersonic, and Rock 'n' Roll Star. Fans flooded his Twitter feed with questions about the pre-fight show, prompting the swaggering vocalist to reply: "Little on the small side but I'll manage".
The Mirror reports that, after thousands clamoured to buy tickets for the Oasis reunion gigs next year, Liam gave a taste of what to expect as part of the warm-up bill for tonight's IBF world heavyweight title fight.

It's expected there will be around 100,000 fans for each of their Wembley nights. And when asked whether he had chosen the songs that he would play and how he chose them, Liam replied: "Yes it's wrecked my head".
Event organiser Turki Alalshikh also revealed that he was trying to get Noel to perform alongside his brother - which could have kick-started the reunion set.
With the Gallagher brothers looking to cash into the tune of around £50 million with their comeback shows, it would take a huge sum to bring them together ahead of these shows.
Just two weeks ago, it was hinted that Noel, 57, might join his brother Liam for the performance but speaking to talkSPORT, boxing official Turki expressed his hopes:
He said: "I hope so! It will be something amazing if we get them together." When quizzed about whether Noel had been approached, Turki added: "We will try. Why not? " However, there's no indication that Noel will actually attend or perform at the event.
Liam played his last solo gig in Malta last weekend. Asource close to Liam told the Mirror: "He's excited to get back onstage after a few weeks off and then he's off to Malta Sunday for his last gig of the year before getting his head firmly in Oasis territory."
Dubois won Saturday night's fight with a fifth-round knockout to retain his IBG heavyweifht world title.
