Oh celebrities, what are you like? Heaven forbid an A-lister pops out a mini-me and decides to call it something like ‘John’ or ‘Sarah’, they always have to go above and beyond to make their fans go: ‘Whaaaat?’
Yep, last night it was revealed that Liam Payne and Cheryl had named their newborn son Bear, with The Sun claiming that they’d made the decision after weeks of careful consideration as they made a point to “get to know” their bundle of joy.
The news came just one day after an ‘official’ listing on FamousBirthdays.com appeared to reveal that the pair had opted for the remarkably normal name of ‘Taylor’ for their baby, which probably made the report that he is actually called ‘Bear’ all the more shocking.
Needless to say, soon after the announcement was made, Twitter erupted and One Direction fans were in their element as they reacted to the surprising choice of name:
