Liam Payne might have already dropped two (pretty raunchy) singles from his debut solo album, but he has no idea when fans can expect to hear the whole package.

So yeah, sorry about that everyone.

Speaking to Metro, Liam explained that the album will be appearing in 2018 but he's not exactly sure when – and the delay actually is kind of his fault.

Revealing that he's a man who likes to live on the edge, Liam said that the album was "almost" finished, but he suddenly decided to switch up the style at the last minute.

"It was almost done and then I decided I wanted to do something a bit different and push the boundaries," he admitted.

Teasing a new single, Liam added: "I've met some new producers that I really like, and I have a ballad-y kind of thing coming out with somebody, so that'll be really cool."

While the former One Direction star is all for a collab here and there, we're not going to see a mini 1D reunion on his album any time soon. "That's been done before, hasn't it?" he said.

"I've thought about it. It would be nice if two of us did a song. I feel like Louis [Tomlinson] and Niall [Horan] could do one. None of them really do my style," he conceded.

Maybe we'll just have to settle for the full-blown reunion, eh? Whenever that will be...
