Liam Payne gushes over Cheryl as he pays tribute to son Bear
Liam Payne has vowed to share some of his 2017 highlights with us over the next few days, kicking things off with a sweet tribute to his son, Bear, and girlfriend, Cheryl.
The One Direction star praised the former X Factor judge for being an “incredible” mother to their child, who they welcomed in March of this year.
Reposting an image of Bear sitting between his legs as they donned matching Yeezys, Liam wrote: “2017 has been a crazy year! I’m gonna post a memory every day this week.
“First has to be my baby boy Bear! Holding him for the first time is a memory I will never forget and watching him grow up is just amazing to see.
“@cherylofficial has been an incredible mother to baby Bear since the day he was born and I can’t thank her enough for that.”
The post quickly racked up over a million likes, with Liam’s fans flocking to the comment section to praise him for how well he has adapted to life as a dad, with Cheryl also making an appearance in the comments.
Keeping it simple, the singer responded by posting the crying face and love heart emoji.
This is far from the first time that Liam has gushed about his girlfriend since she gave birth, previously revealing that Cheryl had taken to motherhood like a duck to water and was adamant that she would not be hiring a nanny to help her out.
He said at the time: “At this stage as a dad, you’re in a bit of a whirlwind. I’ll be honest with you, she’s doing it all herself at the moment because she wants to know what it feels like when I’m not there.
“She knows that I’m going on tour, so obviously she’s got a lot to deal with, which is hard. I thought that I’d get the call saying: ‘We need a nanny for this’, but no, she’s doing everything. She’s really pushing herself with it, bless her.
“We did a rota over the night feeds, and then she was like, I want to do [them] because she used to wake up anyway. She said there’s no point in us both being tired and there are going to be points in the day when I need you to be on it, so I need you awake.”
