Liam Payne is producing his own album
It looks like we finally have an explanation as to why Liam Payne’s debut solo material is taking so bloomin’ long to reach our eardrums, with the One Direction star reportedly learning how to produce his own album.
Liam has made no secret of the fact that he is working on solo material but it turns out that he is determined to produce the record himself and he has drafted in the help of top DJs and producers to teach him how to do it.
Producer Digital Farm Animals, real name Nicholas Gale, is the one who broke the news, explaining: “I’ve been doing a lot with Liam.
“I’ve not heard much of the other stuff that he’s been doing but I can say he is really talented.
“He writes very well, he’s also started producing as well. He just comes up with these great ideas so it made sense for him to have more control, I guess.
“I kind of helped him, the stuff that we have been doing I helped produce it, showed him some things and we wrote it. I mean he has so many talents that people don’t know.”
Nicholas went on to confirm speculation that Liam was ditching pop for a more R&B/ dance sound, adding to the Daily Star: “I have no idea when it will come out, but we have been working on a few bits together. He is doing a lot of R&B stuff but he’s also dipping into dance.
“The things we are doing are definitely down the dance lane.”
Singer Conor Maynard previously revealed that he has had writing sessions with Liam and that it won’t be long before the star drops some new music for his fans.
Following One Direction’s well-deserved hiatus, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson have both released solo singles but they are also still working on their debut album.
Harry Styles is also thought to be working on solo music after nabbing a role in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming war epic, Dunkirk.
