Liam Payne appeared to brush off rumours that he's split from girlfriend Cheryl as he partied with a host of fashion and film stars in London.

The former One Direction singer, 24, headed over to the new Annabel’s for Vogue’s official BAFTA party on Sunday night where he was joined by Pixie Lott, Salma Hayek and recent collaborator, Rita Ora.

His attendance comes amid reports he is about to split from Cheryl, who he shares a son with, over hectic work schedules.

Payne is reportedly seeking legal advice from divorce lawyers on how to protect his £54 million fortune, as well as allegedly discussing arrangements for 11-month-old Bear.

The couple, who haven’t been pictured together for four months, also share a £5.1million mansion in Surrey.

A source told The Sun: “Liam has sought some legal advice but he still wants to make it work. It’s sensible to be prepared for all options.

“With a young son and a number of assets between them there is more to breaking up than just parting ways. He hopes it doesn’t come to it but he’s just being careful.”

Standard Online has contacted representatives for Payne and Cheryl for comment.

Payne’s travelling is said to be the reason for the alleged strain in their relationship, with the singer spending most of the past six months on the road to promote his new music.

The reports come weeks after Cheryl stoked engagement rumours after being spotted wearing a sparkling ring on her wedding finger at The Prince’s Trust Gala.

Cheryl and Payne made their red carpet debut as a couple in May 2016 after weeks of teasing fans on Instagram.

They welcomed their first child together in March 2017, announcing the news on Mother’s Day.
