Liam Payne is ready to unleash his second single 'Get Low'

Liam Payne is ready to unleash the follow up to his debut solo single ‘Strip That Down’ and teased he’ll drop the new track, entitled ‘Get Low,’ later this week.

Anybody seeing a theme in Liam’s work?

What we’re getting from his song title choices is that Liam wants everyone to get on the floor and be naked… right?

The 23-year-old singer took to his Twitter account on Monday to announce the release of his second track on July 6 and it also features record producer Zedd.

Alongside the single cover artwork, Liam wrote: “#GetLow 6th July @Zedd (sic)”

The star’s new single comes just over two months after the release of his debut and he’s no doubt hoping it will be a dancefloor banger and emulate the same success, as ‘Strip That Down’ peaked at number 3 in the UK charts and number 2 in Australia.

Even more exciting is the fact that the One Direction star is also expected to drop his solo album soon.

Liam was the final member of One Direction to release a solo single.

His band is currently on an extended hiatus while they work on their independent careers, but Liam wrote the majority of One Direction’s back catalogue and he has admitted it has been “harder” penning the lyrics for his own record as it requires a lot of “soul searching” and he feels like one of the knights of the order in the ‘Star Wars’ films.

He said recently: “I wrote a lot of the last One Direction albums. The solo writing process has been harder because you have to do a lot of soul searching. It’s like therapy. You have to look at what you think about yourself, and what you think other people think of you. It’s Jedi stuff – unreversed psychology, forward psychology.”
