Liam Payne Shares First Post-One Direction Music

Hey, One Direction? We don’t know if you remember, but we were promised a break and we kind of hoped that we would at least be able to get a few hours kip without one of you doing something bloomin’ brilliant to distract us.

Oh, who are we kidding? We ruddy love it.

Around one week into Liam Payne’s eighteen-month break from being in the biggest boyband on the planet, the star has stopped wandering around Sainsburys for long enough to share some new music with us.

The proud star took to his Twitter page to share a song entitled ‘The Night We Met’ by Irish boy band HomeTown, revealing that he had co-written the track with the band and Jamie Scott.

Writing on his social media page, Liam explained: “Hey everyone almost Christmas. Check out this song I did with hometown and Jamie Scott … listen loud and enjoy! [sic]”

And we have to admit, if this is the kind of stuff that we have to look forward to over the next year and a half then we can definitely get on board with it.

HomeTown are managed by former X Factor judge Louis Walsh (and they no doubt remind the mogul of a young Westlife) and have been signed to RCA records.

The group are made up of Brendan Murray, Cian Morrin, Dayl Cronin, Dean Gibbons, Josh Gray and Ryan McLoughlin, and many One Direction fans have pointed out that their music isn’t too different from 1D’s.

Writing on the band’s YouTube page, one fan wrote: “Here cos of Liam but staying for their songs”, whilst others couldn’t help but express their love for Payno’s first solo musical offering since the band announced the break.

And to be honest, we totally agree.
