Liam Payne's £1.3m mansion goes up for rent weeks after hotel death

Liam Payne's lavish mansion is back on the market weeks after his death in Argentina. The One Direction star is thought to have died 'instantly' when he fell from the balcony of his hotel room on October 16.

He had been in Buenos Aires with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy in the weeks before he died. But she left to travel back to the US alone, leaving Payne in the capital.

It is understood that the couple moved into a huge $1.7M (£1.3m) property in Florida shortly before their Argentina trip. They are said to have signed a short-term lease on the home in the summer.

The pair shared with fans a glimpse of their home on social media. According to TMZ, the five-bedroom home in Wellington, South Florida, has now been placed on the market for a huge $9,950 per month.

Kate gave her TikTok followers a tour of the mansion in September, showcasing the home's grand entrance and its gourmet kitchen. She also shared with fans the pool area, living area and outdoor barbecue space.

She said: "I'm always doing little hotel tours – and we just moved so I figured I'd do a mini house tour." The property is said to have since been revamped with new paint and décor, TMZ said.

Kate returned to Florida alone just days before Payne died. She revealed to fans how she 'hated' being in one place for too long, telling how the couple was supposed to be in South America for just five days but their trip was extended.

She previously said: "I was just like "I need to go home". I loved South America but I hate staying in one place for too long. We were supposed to be there for five days, turned into two weeks and I was just, like, I need to go home."

Payne, from Wolverhampton, shared seven-year-old son Bear with ex-partner Cheryl Cole. He was staying at the CasaSur Palermo hotel when he died.
