Liar came to a gory conclusion on Monday (October 16) after weeks of wondering whether Laura Nielson would get justice.

The ITV drama series has taken on all sorts of twists and turns investigating the sexual assault of Laura (Joanne Froggatt), and her subsequent battle to prove her assailant Andrew Earlham's (Ioan Gruffudd) guilt.

Last week, Laura tried exacting her own revenge by drugging and kidnapping Andrew. While she was able to force a confession, her ally DI Harmon (Shelley Conn) reluctantly had to let Andrew go free because of the coerced method in which Laura got that confession.

In Monday's concluding episode, a desperate Andrew enlisted son Luke (Jamie Flatters) in creating a fake alibi in hopes of clearing himself for the multiple sexual assaults he'd committed.

"Whatever you need, dad. I'll tell them whatever you need," a conflicted Luke assured his panicked father.
