Liberty X Star Auditions For The Voice UK

Liberty X star Kevin Simm is the latest familiar face to audition in front of will.i.am, Boy George, Paloma Faith and Ricky Wilson on The Voice UK.

Well, we say ‘in front of’, but as is the way with blind auditions, he actually performs behind them. Until they (hopefully) turn around, that is.

According to Digital Spy, Kevin has admitted to being ‘very nervous’ about facing the coaches, and that he’s had ‘nightmares’ about no-one turning around.

He said: “I just have a feeling that this is what I have to do.”

He also explains that his confidence was knocked when his post-Liberty X solo career didn’t go as he’d hope, saying: “I signed with a label and recorded my own album.

“At that point, I was like, ‘This is going to be awesome, I’m going to be massive’. Then I just got shelved, pretty much.

“What can you do? It puts you off music a little bit. It did knock my confidence a lot.”

Kevin’s performance of Sia’s ‘Chandelier’ will be shown on Saturday’s episode of The Voice (30th January, 7.45pm). Good luck, Kevin!
