Lidl has warned shoppers over clothing items being sold by the supermarket which do not meet 'requirements'. Owim GmbH & Co. KG would like to provide customers with an update on the “Men’s Sweatshorts” in grey and black varieties – article number (IAN) 452727_2307, Lidl said.

The supplier Owim GmbH & Co. KG would like to inform customers that the above-mentioned product, "Men's Sweatshorts" in grey and black varieties (IAN 452727_2307) does not meet the requirements of the “Recycled Claim Standard”, Lidl said.

The supermarket giant said: "This is due to the fact that the “Recycled Claim Standard” stipulates that the traceability of the product must be ensured through certification. Since Owim GmbH & Co. KG was unable to provide the necessary certification, it means that the “Recycled Claim Standard” could not be validated.
