'My life is a mess': Ben Foden talks Una Healy split regrets in 'Celebrity SAS'

Ben Foden has admitted his life is a mess since splitting from wife Una Healy, and says he bitterly regrets cheating on her.

The rugby player bared his soul about his divorce on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, but his admission about feeling his life is in chaos may be a little awkward for his new girlfriend, fitness pro Miriam Murphy.

Foden and Saturdays singer Healy, who have two young children together, split last summer after six years of marriage when it emerged that he had slept with another woman.

During his appearance on the Ant Middleton survival contest, Foden said: “My life’s a bit of a mess. It’s been difficult over the past couple of months, for sure.

“I’ll always love Una. She’s my first love and the mother of my kids. I never meant to hurt her in the way I did.

“I think it’s quite appropriate to do a course like this to put some perspective on everything.”

The family had been planning a move to the US as Foden had been signed by a New York team, but Healy has stayed behind in the UK with their children while her ex has settled in his new Stateside home.

At the time of the divorce, which Foden announced on dating app Bumble, he claimed that his cheating was not the only reason for their split, but he now seems to be taking full responsibility.

He said: “At the moment anything that’s published about me is never very good and pretty rightly so because I was the one who committed adultery.”

Foden is taking part in the charity version of the Channel 4 show for Stand Up To Cancer alongside celebrities including Jeff Brazier, Wayne Bridge, Andrea McLean, Victoria Pendleton, and Sam Thompson.

The gruelling challenge sees them put through their paces by Middleton and his team to take on the sort of training that potential SAS recruits would face.

Made in Chelsea star Thompson had a tough start to the series, being focused on for harsh treatment by the trainers and angering his teammates by earning them extra drills for not following instructions.

Louise Mensch crashed out of the show in the first episode, deciding she wasn’t up to the challenge and didn’t want to hold her teammates back.
