Snow flurries dusted St Charles, Illinois, on Wednesday, March 29, after the National Weather Service (NWS) said morning snow showers were expected across northern Illinois.
The NWS said that there is an increasing threat for severe thunderstorms on Friday as a strong storm system tracks across the region.
