Light Snowfall Gives Kansas 'Taste of Winter'

Bands of snow moved through northwestern parts of Kansas on Thursday, November 17, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

Video posted by the NWS shows snowflakes coming down in Goodland on Thursday. The NWS said areas north of Interstate 70 would see “flurries and light snow” with accumulations of less than one inch.

The service said the snow was “nice to look at” but reminded drivers to use caution on the roads. The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) asked motorists to give plows room as far northwestern Kansas got “a taste of winter” Thursday morning. Credit: NWS Goodland via Storyful
