Lightning Flashes Over Houston as Floods Warned

A severe thunderstorm passed over Houston, Texas, leading to weather warnings from the National Weather Service on Tuesday, May 18.

The NWS issued a severe thunderstorm and a flood warning for the city and surrounding areas, predicting penny-sized hail, winds of up to 60 mph, and a risk of flooded streets and homes.
