Lightning Flashes Over North Colorado Amid Thunderstorm Warnings

Lightning flashed north of Timnath on Wednesday, July 27, as the National Weather Service issued severe thunderstorm warnings for parts of northern Colorado.

Footage shot by Stephen Lee shows storm clouds and lightning flashing north of Timnath.

The National Weather Service labelled the storm as “destructive”, warning of strong wind gusts and “apple-sized” hail for other parts of Weld County as well as nearby Larimer County.

Flash flood warnings were also issued for parts of northeastern Colorado, with the weather service urging residents in affected areas to seek higher ground. Credit: Stephen Lee via Storyful
