Lightning Flashes as Severe Storms Move Over Texas

Hail-producing thunderstorms moved through the Austin area on Thursday evening, May 5, putting several parts of the region “under the gun,” the National Weather Service (NWS) reported.

Footage taken by Jennifer Lowry captured cloud-to-cloud lightning as storms moved away from Austin on Thursday, she said.
