Lightning Flashes as Storms Sweep Oklahoma City Area

A line of severe storms moved through central Oklahoma overnight into the early hours of Friday, October 15, bringing large hail, lighting, and strong winds.

Video from Choctaw, east of Oklahoma City, shows flashes of lighting and the crash of thunder as heavy rain pours down.

The National Weather Service in Norman said the storms were packing winds of up to 70mph and dropping “golf ball-sized hail.” Credit: @Teresa24Aguilar via Storyful
