Lil Nas X is really, really sick of being asked if he’s a top or a bottom – and he’s not afraid to call fans out for their “misogyny”.
The “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” singer was asked, yet again, about his sexual position during a question and answer session on Instagram on Sunday (25 April).
Lil Nas X had the best response when asked if he prefers to top or bottom, choosing to turn the moment into both a joke and a teaching moment for queer fans.
I get this question a lot,” the singer and rapper admitted. “I’ve never been a bunk bed kinda guy, I like king sized beds, I like queen sized beds,” he joked.
Lil Nas X says questions about topping and bottoming are ‘misogynistic’
He continued: “But for real, all jokes aside, with this top and bottom s**t in the gay community, it has become a huge form of misogyny, and it’s like how you n****s misogynists? You’re all gay, you’re faggots. We’re all faggots.”
Elsewhere in his Q&A, Lil Nas X delivered a rallying cry for trans rights and opened up about his dating experience.
The singer told fans that he has “started actually dating people” recently, but admitted he isn’t great at relationships as he had no experience of dating as a teenager.
He also said he doesn’t have one night stands, explaining that they’re more like “one week stands”.
Lil Nas X also confessed that he has no interest in getting married or starting a family in the future, telling fans he doesn’t want anybody else in his house.
The queer singer-songwriter has previously hinted at his sexual preferences on his song “Holiday”.
“Ayy, can I pop s**t? / I might bottom on the low, but I top s**t,” he sang on the track, released in November 2020.
The singer’s most recent comments come just weeks after he dropped “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”, which went on to top the charts across the world.
The song was accompanied by an iconic music video that showed Lil Nas X sliding down a stripper pole to hell before giving Satan a lap dance.
