Lily Allen appears to be branching out of music into a rather unexpected field, as the singer is developing her own range of sex toys.

The 34-year-old told a packed crowd at the Port Eliot Festival in Cornwall that she was moving into “the celeb sex toy market”, according to Metro.

Allen returned to the festival, formerly known as the Elephant Fayre, this year having previously revealed that she was conceived at the event decades ago.

“I probably shouldn’t talk about it,” she said, revealing her new business venture. “I haven’t done a press release or anything like that.

“Orgasms are important, ladies, and I feel like the celeb sex toy market hasn’t been capitalised upon.”

It’s not the first time the Smile singer has hinted at a change of career, making numerous cheeky references to a potential run in politics earlier this year.

Allen has often spoken frankly about sex, from the explicit lyrics of her hit song Not Fair through to her 2018 book My Thoughts Exactly.

Extracts from the book were discussed in the press, including the revelation that she slept with female sex workers while on tour in 2014.

In a frank post on her Instagram account, she pre-empted media coverage of the extract, saying she was “lost and lonely and looking for something” at the time.

Allen recently revealed that she plans to take some time off social media and was embroiled in a row about shaming a mother whose baby was crying on a flight.

She released her fourth album No Shame in 2018 and it reached number eight on the UK Albums Chart.

Meanwhile, if Allen wants to corner the market for celebrity-fronted sex toys, she’s going to have to get in there ahead of Spice Girl Mel B, who is reportedly seeking to develop an adult toy herself.
