Lily Allen Insists She's 'Just A Lightweight' After Photos Emerge Of Her Collapsing At Carnival

Lily Allen worried fans over the weekend when she was pictured collapsing at Notting Hill Carnival after being spotted drinking a variety of drinks as she partied with her new boyfriend, MC Meridan Dan.

Sources also claimed that Lily was rolling a “suspicious-looking cigarette” as she sipped a homemade cocktail from a milk bottle alongside cans of Strongbow cider and Jack Daniels.

Speaking to The Sun, an onlooker said: “It was horrifying to see her so out of control. She was like a sack of spuds on her lover’s shoulder.

"This is a new low for her.”

It is reported that the scenes unfolded backstage while Dan and Lily’s ex-boyfriend, Seb Chew, performed their set for the carnival, with the pair carrying Lily through the crowd once they had finished before she regained consciousness and vomited.

The witness added: “Lily had a proper ‘whitey’ - she blanked out. She’s tried hard to portray herself as a serious musician and social media commentator.

“This was not a good look.”

However, Lily has hit back at the story on her Twitter page, insisting that she is just a “lightweight” and was having a day off of 'mum duty’ for her two children, three-year-old Marnie and four-year-old Ethel.

Lily shared a screenshot of an email she’d received from a member of her team, which read: “Sorry again to bother you today.

"As discussed, I’ve just been asked to run past you a story The Sun is planning on running tomorrow.

"Based around fears for Lily’s health as she’s pictured drinking/ smoking suspicious cigarettes/ vomiting before passing out on a stage at the Notting Hill Carnival yesterday, and having to be carried off seemingly unconscious over Dan/ boyfriend’s shoulders.

"Any guidance or comment please advise.”

Lily captioned the screenshot with: “Truth is I’m just a lightweight, I had 2 cans of strongbow on an empty stomach.

"I’m here now and I’m absolutely fine.”

She followed up by retweeting messages of support from her fans, with some reading: “I’ve always liked @lilyallen and this makes me love her!

"If I was there I’d have got so drunk I’d have probably passed out too.”

“Saluting @lilyallen this morning. Mothers keep partying + going to carnival.”

And when one critic retorted: “It’s nothing to be proud of though, is it?” Lily quipped back: “It’s not a framer, no.”

Lily’s comments come after we spotted the singer at Carnival yesterday looking a lot more subdued and attempting to keep a low profile as she enjoyed an afternoon with her friends.
