Lily Allen quits Twitter after she's cruelly trolled over her stillborn baby

Lily Allen has quit Twitter after the social media site hit new lows yesterday, with cruel trolls tormenting the singer over her tragic stillbirth in 2010.

Lily was left absolutely devastated and suffered from PTSD after her baby son was stillborn when she went into early labour at six months.

The star was targeted by cruel trolls yesterday when she took to Twitter to showcase her support for Muslims, conducting a poll that asked 15-35 year-olds if they felt more threatened by Muslims or pensioners, sparking a huge backlash from other users.

One follower consequently challenged Lily over her experience with mental illness, asking what caused her to suffer from PTSD, with the star replying: “When I lay in a hospital bed with my deceased son stuck between my legs halfway out of my body for 10 hours.”

A user quickly retorted: “Not to be a d*ck but I very highly doubt it was for 10 hours”, to which Lily shared: “You are a d*ck. And it was. I was there, you weren’t.”

However, things quickly turned more sinster, with a troll writing: “Maybe if you didn’t pump your body full of drugs you wouldn’t have miscarried.”

Understandably fuming, Lily seethed back: “I didn’t miscarry, I went into early labour and by son died from his chord wrapped round his neck.”

But that wasn’t enough for some, with a vile Twitter user posting back: “The baby knew you were going to be such a horrible mother so it decided to go out on its own term.”

Lily chose not to dignify the absolutely horrifying tweet with a response, explaining that she was quitting the site with the message: “My timeline is full of the most disgusting, sexist, misogynistic, racist sh*t. Really, new levels. I’m no masochist so I’ll be back x”.

The star’s account has since been taken over by a friend called Dennis, who revealed that they were going to go on a “blocking spree” on Lily’s behalf.
