In case you missed it, the actress went viral in October 2020 when she was photographed kissing her co-star Dominic West on a scooter in Rome. The actor has been married to Catherine FitzGerald since 2010.
After the PDA photos emerged (via Daily Mail) Dominic and his wife posed for photos outside their home, before issuing a handwritten statement explaining that their "marriage is strong and we’re very much still together. Thank you."
Lily has avoided talking about the subject until now. In a new interview with The Guardian, the 32-year-old was asked "what it was like to be at the centre of a media storm".
"Ach, I’m not really willing to talk about that," she responded. "There is a lot to say, but not now, I’m afraid."
The Pursuit Of Love, which both Lily and Dominic star in, is an adaptation of Nancy Mitford’s 1945 romcom novel set in the interwar years, following the aristocratic heroine Linda Radlett (Lily) and her romantic adventures to find true love.
Narrated by her “more proper” cousin Fanny Logan (Emily Beecham), Linda’s hunt for a husband sees her travelling from her manor home in Oxfordshire all the way to Paris in the Roaring Twenties – an adventure showcasing the stark difference between the two girls.
It drops on BBC One on Sunday 9th May, and boy are we excited.
