Who is Lily Phillips? Derbyshire's divisive OnlyFans star
In the past year, adult stars have hit the mainstream media, using the likes of TikTok and Instagram to attract clientele. Lily Phillips, a 23-year-old OnlyFans star from Derbyshire, joined the industry in 2020 and sparked conversations about sex-work, feminism and exploitation.
With more than 36,000 paying subscribers, Phillips has made a career out of posting explicit content to OnlyFans. Last year, she made a name for herself after sleeping with 100 men in one day and filming it for her subscribers.
Phillips grew up in the picturesque village of Denby and had a comfortable childhood as the daughter of a local business owner. She told the MailOnline: "I didn’t get into OnlyFans because I was desperate for money. My parents loved to spoil us, I had a very comfortable, happy life. It was the picture-perfect childhood and I had amazing parents."

Her parents even offered to send her to a private-school to enhance her education, but Lily declined the offer because she struggled with academics and thought she might prefer a state-school environment.
Having completed her studies at John Flamsteed Community School, Lily went on to study nutrition at Sheffield University. When the pandemic hit in 2020, she created an OnlyFans account and earned £2,000 in the first month.
A former schoolmate said: "Lily had a lovely, comfortable life and was a great girl and some of us were very envious of her. Her OnlyFans work has shocked us quite a lot of us because we don’t understand why she’s doing it."
But Lily insists she made the right choice for herself. She said: “Honestly, it’s changed my life. How I feel about myself, my confidence. I am 23-year-old woman who pays my own rent and earns good money. I’m very proud of what I’ve achieved – I’m a feminist, 100 per cent.”
Lily Phillips' record attempt
In 2024, Lily challenged herself to sleep with 100 men in one day. Documentary maker Josh Pieters filmed the events before and after the record attempt in the short film I Slept With 100 Men in One Day.
The video went viral online for its tragic depiction of the incident's aftermath. Beforehand, Lily described the experience as a sexual fantasy of hers, but afterwards the star was in tears and exhausted and claimed she felt "robotic".
Phillips reflected immediately afterwards: "I don't know if I would recommend it. Sometimes you disassociate. It's not like normal sex at all. In my head right now I can think of five or six guys I can remember and that's it."
She also expressed guilt for not being able to give the men the full five minutes of time they were promised. Lily said: "When you've promised something to people that support you, it's hard to let them down."
Concerns about Lily's welfare
Fans responded to the documentary with empathetic concerns over the adult star's welfare.
One commenter said: "This whole thing is incredibly disturbing and sad. She tries to explain away the soul crushing trauma-response as disappointment in herself for letting people down. She admits to dissociating but doesn’t realise that’s a clear indication that she is traumatised."
Another said: "This is quite honestly the most disturbing and unsettling thing I’ve watched in a long time. Her crying at the end was soul destroying."
Lily however claimed that she was crying due to exhaustion. She told TMZ that her only regret over the challenge was that each man did not receive the amount of time they were promised prior to filming.
Despite her distress following the challenge, she revealed plans to sleep with 1,000 men in one day in 2024.
1,000 men challenge
Fellow OnlyFans creator Bonnie Blue shared on Instagram that she had slept with 1,057 men in 12 hours.
But despite Bonnie beating her to it, Lily has shared that she still intends to complete the challenge. The host of Plug Talk podcast, which Lily recently appeared on, released a promo-clip that suggested she may have already completed the challenge. Lily joked that the host Lena's husband was number 999 in the queue. The pair recently filmed the episode in Las Vegas.
This could indicate that Lily has already completed the challenge and is yet to reveal the outcome to the public. In a video with the DailyMail in December, Lily explained that her assistant was sifting through 5,000 applicants for the challenge.
Lily said: “It will take place in England. They will be getting, honestly as quick as possible, in and out." So in spite of her emotional response to the previous challenge, it looks like her new target is still on.
