Lincolnshire fire crews at blaze in shopping area as locals warned over amount of smoke
People living in part of a Lincolnshire market town have been told to keep their windows and doors shut after a fire has broken out near the shopping area. Firefighters were called to the blaze in Sleaford this evening (Wednesday, February 5), at around 5.30pm.
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue confirmed the fire started in the Market Place area. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Pictures from the scene show police have also been at the scene. Due to the amount of smoke, locals close to the scene in the busy market town, have been advised to keep their windows and doors closed.

The fire service has been updating residents on social media. In an update, they said: "Crews are currently responding to reports of a fire in Market Place, Sleaford.
"We are advising all residents in the area keep doors and windows shut due to the amount of smoke."
