Lincolnshire Police update on aircraft crash in plea for the public's help

Lincolnshire Police have released further details about the aircraft that crash-landed in a field today (Saturday, May 25). In an update shared on social media, the force confirmed the location and asked for the public's help.

Emergency services were called to public event, which is held at RAF Coningsby, after receiving reports of the crash. Lincolnshire Police initially commented on the incident to day they had received reports of the crash just before 1.20pm on Saturday, May 25.

The police also said earlier today that it was believed to be a single- occupant aircraft, with no one thought to be involved. And now in a further update released tonight, police issued a public appeal for information.

The statement said: "We can confirm the location of the aircraft crash as a field on Langrick Road in Congingsby.

"If you witnessed this incident or have any footage of it we would be grateful to hear from you. Please contact us on 101 or via force.control@lincs.police.uk quoting incident 221 of 25/05."
