Linda Lusardi's health is improving as she continues to battle against the coronavirus, according to her husband Sam Kane.
The couple were hospitalised after being diagnosed with COVID-19, and earlier this week, Sam had shared on Facebook that Linda was struggling with oxygen and a low blood pressure.
However, he has since provided an encouraging update, believing that she is now on the mend and that "she's beaten the virus".
"My beautiful girl has dropped her oxygen intake today, which is amazing news," he wrote on Facebook yesterday (March 26).
"She's still got a long way to go but these baby steps are on a roll now. I truly believe she's beaten the virus now and her body is concentrating on healing itself after the battle. She's a fighter and she will win this.
"Your messages and prayers are incredible. Your support has been so strong and wonderful, and I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart."
Sam also reserved special praise for the NHS.
"The NHS staff have been and continue to be the heroes in all of this... The most enormous thank you to all of the NHS staff who continue to get my girl back to health. You're all angels," he said.
