Linda Nolan broke down on Loose Women as she opened up about her ‘devastating’ cancer diagnosis.

Linda was joined by her sister Coleen Nolan at her home in Blackpool as she opened up about receiving the news that she has incurable secondary breast cancer.

“I had a bone biopsy last week and they’ve confirmed what we knew that it is secondary breast cancer so now I'm waiting until Thursday to find out what grade and what size it is.

“I'm getting injections into my bones to strengthen them, and radiotherapy, but I don't have to have chemo this time which is a big relief.”

Linda, who had breast cancer in 2006, struggled to speak as she recalled being told the news which has left her “absolutely devastated”.

She said: “I was devastated because I feel so bad for my family having to go through it all again. I’ve had thousands of messages and cards from the public and I have to say thank you because it really does help.”

Linda discovered she had cancer after doctors scanned her hip following a fall, and found a cyst attached to her pelvic bone.

She said she will “fight” the disease and grab life by the horns by doing things she has always wanted to do.

“They’ve told me it’s not curable but it is treatable so I can live with it,” she said. “I’m going to fight it every step of the way and give it my all because I’ve got so many things that I want to do.

“It sounds trivial but I’ve never flown first class. This diagnosis has made me think I’ve got the opportunity now because I don’t know how long I’m going to be here.”

Linda's appearance on the show comes days after Coleen revealed her sister's diagnosis.

Coleen broke down as she opened up about the “earth shattering” moment her sister was been diagnosed for a second time.

She also revealed that she was taken to hospital herself after the news caused her to suffer a stress related allergy which saw her face swell up.

Linda and Coleen lost their sister Bernie to cancer in 2013.

Loose Women is on ITV weekdays at 12:30pm.
