Loose Women's Linda Nolan has explained that she is undergoing a new kind of treatment following the progression of her cancer.

The singer-turned-ITV panelist was given the all-clear from breast cancer in 2011 after a 2006 diagnosis, but six years later, a secondary cancer was found on her pelvis. Since then, her cancer has metastasised to her brain, requiring her to use a wheelchair.

In a new interview with The Mirror, she revealed that she is undergoing a new type of treatment to help prevent any further spread. The treatment involves the drug Enhertu, which is said to extend the life of those with incurable breast cancer, though it is not available on the NHS due to funding issues.

"To be able to try a new drug is amazing," she told the publication. "I just wish everyone could have this opportunity. To be able to try this is hope — it’s a plan B not everyone is being allowed. To take this drug away from women is to take away their hope.

"I asked my consultant 'will I lose my hair again'? and it is a possibility. I told him: 'That will be five times I've lost my hair!'

"But if it happens, I'll just shave it again. Thankfully, he is not saying 'we can't do anything for you'. We have more places to go. I am ready to try anything. I have done this before, and I can do it again."

Her sister Bernie Nolan passed away due to cancer in 2013, while Anne was diagnosed within days of one of Linda's diagnoses in 2020 and is now cancer-free. Coleen announced that she was diagnosed with common skin cancer basal cell carcinoma last year and a pre-melanoma more recently.
