Linda Nolan has confessed she has not had sex for 12 years – and issues with her body are preventing her seeking a new partner.

The 60-year-old Loose Women panelist – whose husband Brian Hudson died after battling skin cancer in 2007 – admitted she would like to find love again, but said she is insecure about her looks.

Nolan told New! magazine: “No [I haven't slept with anyone] and I lost him 12 years ago. Don't worry, I'm not climbing the walls.”

The singer – who underwent a mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 and was diagnosed with incurable cancer in 2017 – said she does not feel confident about showing the scars on her body.

Nolan also said she would like to lose the weight she gained through her treatment.

She said: “I have issues with my body right now.

“I want to lose the weight I've put on through being ill and I've got issues because of the scars from my mastectomy and the reconstruction surgery.”

Nolan and Hudson were married for 26 years before his death.

Last year she admitted she did feel lonely on her own, and said she would like to find a new partner to keep her company.

She told BBC Radio 5 Live's You Me and The Big C podcast: “You know, I'm 59, it's not about sex any more – although that's quite good. That's just a bonus!

“It is for companionship, and maybe going on holiday with somebody or going to the movies with somebody instead of my sisters, you know what I mean?”

But earlier this year Nolan revealed her sister Coleen had bought her a puppy.

She told the Mirror: “It’s a black shih tzu called Betty Boo. Sometimes she is the only reason I get out of bed because she needs a walk.

“My sisters are a great source of encouragement too. They tell me, ‘Live every day as if it’s your last’.”
