Linda Robson opens up on feeling 'guilt' after suffering breakdown on trip with 'Loose Women' co-stars

Linda Robson has opened up on the "guilt" she has felt for her loved ones after suffering a mental health breakdown.

The Birds of a Feather actor revealed earlier this year that in June 2018 she had a "meltdown" while on a trip to Ibiza with Loose Women co-stars Stacey Solomon, Nadia Sawalha, Andrea McLean, Kaye Adams and Saira Khan.

The breakdown came as she turned to alcohol while battling severe obsessive compulsive disorder and depression.

Speaking on the programme on Wednesday afternoon the 62-year-old shared: "I really did [feel guilty], for what I put you lot through first of all. You're away for a jolly holiday and everything."

Robson received assurances from colleagues Adams, as well as Janet Street-Porter and Brenda Edwards who were also on the programme on Wednesday.

Earlier in 2020, she told The Sun that Solomon had accompanied her to a rehabilitation centre in London upon their return home.

After stays in various clinics, Robson's state was attributed to an allergic reaction to an anti-depressant.

She also reflected on feeling guilty over her family watching her break down, expressing regret over "ruining" one Christmas.

"Putting my family through that, and they had to go through that for a long time, and I think that guilt takes a long time to leave you," she shared.

Robson previously divulged that during the holiday she was in a heightened state of anxiety over her family's wellbeing.

Her concerns over her children's safety began in 2008 when her son Louis was out with friend Ben Kinsella, who was killed in a violent knife attack.
