Lindsay Lohan is campaigning to play Batgirl
The DC Extended Universe is still looking to cast Batgirl for Joss Whedon's upcoming movie, but one star has thrown her name into the ring.
Lindsay Lohan – known for starring in movies such as Freaky Friday, The Parent Trap, and of course Mean Girls – is campaigning for the superhero role on social media.

But would she make a good Barbara Gordon?
The jury is still out on that, it appears. Some liked the idea, keen to give the actress a chance:
If Lindsay Lohan gets her shit together she could be a great Batgirl, don't @ me

Apparently @lindsaylohan really wants to be @joss's #Batgirl. I'm all for it. So she did some shit a lot of folks have done (w/o cameras tracking their every move) years ago – move on. Put her thru some rigorous training, get her ready for the film, and give her a chance.

Wouldn't it be a ballsy move for Warner Bros. to actually cast Lindsay Lohan as Batgirl. Imagine the online millage and content manufactured from what would be the ultimate comeback narrative. The rehabilitation of an ostracised actress and her return to mainstream glory. pic.twitter.com/Plz3fmhpfU
