Another one bites the dust!

Linford Christie is the latest celebrity to fall victim to ‘The Jump’, with the star being left with no choice but to quit the ITV show.

It had previously been reported that Linford suffered a hamstring interview and unfortunately he did not recover in time for this week’s show, forcing him to quit.

That makes him the fifth contestant to withdraw from the controversial show this series.

The official statement read: “It is with regret that Linford Christie has to withdraw from ‘The Jump’.

“Despite recovering from a hamstring injury he was not left with enough time to train for this weekend’s show and reach the standard needed to compete.

“Last week’s eliminated competitor James 'Arg’ Argent will return to the competition to take his place.”

And TOWIE’s Arg is over the moon to have another shot at the competition, sharing: “Now I have a second chance I want to show what I can really do.

“It is an honour to be passed the baton by Linford Christie and I’ll hopefully make him proud - and have fun along the way.”

Here’s hoping that you don’t suffer any injuries along the way, Arg!

Linford’s departure comes less than one week after it was revealed that he has two secret children following an affair.
