'Lion Lodge' Lives Up to Its Name With Close Hot Tub Encounter
The “Lion Lodge” at a wildlife park in the UK more than matched its name for a guest recently, who described being “terrified” when a lion dropped by as he was enjoying a nighttime dip in the hot tub.
Callum Emmanuel told Storyful that while he was in the tub he was surprised by a lion that “came up against the window staring at me. It then began to try and scratch down the glass.”
Emmanuel posted the encounter from his stay at the Lion Lodge in Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve on November 11.
He also shared the moment two male lions joined him in the morning as he enjoyed some pancakes for breakfast.
The hotel says the lodge offers guests a chance to be “a whisker away from our majestic lions”. Credit: Callum Emmanuel via Storyful

So this is me acting brave.
But moments before I was terrified.
I turned around after being on my phone and saw this The lion didn't take too kind to a selfie and obviously didn't take too kind to me laughing at him and decided to try and scratch the glass down in order to eat me.
This is the noise of a lions roar that kept me up all night.
You can hear it from five miles away.
Apparently, I woke up in the morning, um, to the lions walking around the lodge.
It was nice to see.
And as I was watching Wolf Wall Street, the lions came to the window.
Um, I didn't know they were a fan of Wolf Wall Street, but it turns out they are.
Shortly after the lions, Uh, little brother came over for a little play fight.
Uh, it's crazy to see how big they are.
I mean, their heads are huge.
It's terrifying.
The lodge was incredible, but so was the food.
Shut the curtains, put the fire on, had a nice nap before setting off of the road.
I give this one a 10 out of 10 for sure.
