Well, wasn't that a massive end to tonight's (July 21) episode of EastEnders? Lisa Fowler is BACK!

During the episode, we saw Louise (Tilly Keeper) in a terrible condition after her prom dress went up in flames, having been pushed into a row of candles by bully Alexandra D'Costa.

The extent of her injuries is still unclear, but the teenager had to have an emergency operation at hospital, and must now deal with the possibility of life-changing burns.

It was as she lay in the hospital bed that her mum Lisa (Lucy Benjamin) walked in to bring about the familiar EastEnders duff duff duffs.

The huge ending obviously left viewers in complete shock, and flurries of tweets began. Here's what people were saying:

Lisa originally left Walford in 2002, before returning briefly the following year to reclaim custody of Louise. She was last seen on-screen for a one-off episode which saw her meet with Peggy back in 2010.

Discussing her current comeback, Lucy said: "It was great to be back at EastEnders as it has been such a long time since I had been there. I loved being back in Elstree for the few weeks I was there, seeing old friends again and working with really talented people. I loved every minute of it."

EastEnders continues on Monday, July 24 at 8pm on BBC One.
