Lisa Armstrong appeared to take shots at ex-husband Ant McPartlin after liking a tweet about suffering “betrayal” hours after she was seen wearing what appeared to be her wedding ring.

The estranged showbiz couple were granted a quickie 30 second divorce last month, with Armstrong citing “adultery” and claiming McPartlin was “intolerable” to live with, according to court papers.

Armstrong has now liked a tweet which read: “I think you’re an inspiration to all wronged women you managed to hold your head high and maintain dignity in the face of the vilest betrayal.

“I had a similar thing happen to me and I suffered a nervous breakdown and lost three years of my life! You are incredible.”

The post came days after she appeared to flaunt her ring in a selfie with fellow make-up artist Alexia Jade, days after she ditched the band in her first TV appearance since the divorce.

Armstrong and McPartlin married in 2006, but rumours of trouble in their relationship began to surface last year before they announced their split in January.

A statement from McPartlin's representative read: “Ant is very sad to announce that, after eleven years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.”

He went on to date his PA Anne-Marie Corbett, with Armstrong claiming she found out about the relationship through media coverage.

She vented her fury on Twitter, telling fans Corbett was “my Friend and OUR Pa who I let into OUR home”.

McPartlin and Corbett were said to have grown close while he was recovering from addiction.

He is currently on a lengthy break from television commitments, with Holly Willoughby replacing him on I’m A Celebrity. Saturday Night Takeaway, which he co-hosts with Declan Donnelly, has been shelved until 2020.
