Lisa Faulkner and John Torode marry as they share stunning pictures from their wedding day

Lisa Faulkner has married her long term partner and MasterChef judge John Torode.

Faulkner made it Instagram official when she posted a picture of herself walking hand in hand with Torode who she met when she competed on the celebrity version of MasterChef.

Alongside the stunning picture, Faulkner posted the caption: “The happiest day of my life!!! Cue the wedding spam for the next few weeks! Apologies in advance.

“Yesterday I married the man of my dreams @johntorodecooks and we had the BEST Day EVER, filled with all our family and friends and such Love.

The couple became husband and wife in front of their friends and family - including Gregg Wallace and Amanda Holden - in a ceremony that took place in Northamptonshire.

Torode followed his new wife’s lead by sharing another picture from their special day alongside the caption: “Officially married the girl of my dreams yesterday @lisafaulknercooks what a day!! Thank you @aynhoepark photo courtesy of @jamesfearphotography.”

Agreeing that it was a great day, Amanda posted: “Just the best day!!!”

EastEnders actress Tamzin Outhwaite added: “So much love on the best day ever xxx.”

The wedding comes almost a year after Faulkner announced that she and Torode were engaged.

Explaining how the TV chef popped the important question to her on Christmas Day 2018, Faulker posted on her Instagram page: “My gorgeous John completely surprised me on Christmas Day and asked me to marry him!

'After waiting to tell our family when we got home we then had a few days just grinning at each other!! I'm so very happy to share our lovely news with you. Happy 2019 it’s going to be quite a year and I’m going to embrace every minute of it. All you need is love. Love is all you need.”
